IT Show 2010

Dad told me his plans to cancel his broadband at home and use public computers like those in the library to access the free internet. So I suggested that I buy him a laptop instead so that he can access free internet via Wireless@SG. Cobby also planned to buy a GPS for his car and a new laptop, so off we go!

Cobby took Friday off just to go to the IT show. It was quite fun to have an extra day off as we left Jolie at my Mom's place and went off to have a fantastic lunch at this Italian restaurant at Millenia Walk. After lunch we headed to Suntec and went straight in and bought the GPS. No surprise, IT WAS SO CROWDED!!!



But Cobby did his homework so it was an easy buy. Next we bought a new Asus laptop for Cobby and after much consideration, found a Acer laptop at the most amazing price of $699 for Dad. I wanted to buy a printer that has:
1. Laser printing
2. wireless printing
3. Duplex printing

Unfortunately, we couldn't find one that meet our all needs. But we did go back the next day and found a compromise. An HP, wireless, laser printer. :)

OK, burnt a huge hole in our wallet! I told dad that the laptop is a combination of Father's Day, birthday, Christmas gift! No more for the rest of the year! Haha... But he seemed quite happy with his new toy.

Of course, Cobby is another happy fellow with a new laptop and new GPS! We had alot of fun programming the GPS and listening to her voice while we drive. OK, sometimes she gives funny commands such as "keep right, turn left". HUH??? Soon we'll be able to drive further up north to Malaysia!
