It's Never Too Late...

That's my take in learning and improving yourself. As long as there's a breadth of air in your lungs, you are ready to learn something new.

I really like some of my friend's blog, and I learnt that most of the things they know about web design is self taught. I was so impressed and envious! I thought, if they can do that, so can I! So I seek advise from one of them (I've just added her into my surfing menu, check her out!)

She gave me two websites that gives online tutorials but so far, I'm only at page two. Haha... The thing is, I usually just veg out when I get home and I spend all my weekends at a no-Internet environment. But that doesn't mean I can't share the knowledge around yah? For all you thirsty learners out there, check out these two websites. It's all I have! Good Luck!

The Shoe Lady..

I saw her again.

Did you notice that we cross path with some people almost every other day? I usually see the most interesting people at the bus stop near my home. This morning I saw "shoe lady".

She's a working woman in her thirties, always dressed in smart but conservative suits. She's got short, bright golden brown hair with fair skin. When she walked nearer into the bus stop shelter this morning, I was pleasantly surprised that she was wearing green contacts. I seldom see woman in her age and type wear coloured contact lenses and I was immediately impressed at her confidence and sense of style. Besides, the green looks great with her hair and skin colour.

Why is she the "shoe lady"? Every morning, she will wear sloppy, cheap looking, slip on sandals to the bus stop with her power suits. But, while waiting for the bus to come, she will take off her soddy looking sandals, pull out a pair of absolutely fabulous black shiny peep toes heels from her bag and put them on. When she slips on her heel, she's transformed from an ordinary office girl into this modern, chic office executive. Ready to take on the world.

Strange, why did she put on those ugly heels and change into another pair of shoes just shortly after leaving the house? Well, at least she have emergency shoes!

Innocent victim: "Oh no! my heels broke!"
Shoe Lady to the rescue: "Don't worry, I've got an extra pair of shoes here with me!"
Innocent Victim: "Oh shoe lady! You're a life saver!"

Dilemma...

What do you do when you have to choose? On one hand, you have a fun day of sun, sand and sea. A surprise birthday party at a beach resort surrounded by family and friends, BBQ, drinks, games and laughter. On the other hand, your darling is coming home after a long trip and he was really looking forward to see you waiting for him at the airport. He can't wait to give you a big hug and kiss at the airport when you meet him.

Let's weight the options shall we? If I choose to go to the party, I would risk hurting my darling's feelings. I know that if the tables were turned, he would choose me over fun with his friends, no hesitation at all. On the other hand, I would be enjoying my precious saturday at a great party.

If I decide to go pick up my darling, I would have to spend my beautiful saturday afternoon coop up at home facing the four walls, waiting for the evening to come. I would still be able to go to the party, but by the time we get to Sentosa, it would be around 8pm. Everybody would have eaten, party's almost over. But of course, the love of my life would be delighted, and I'm happy when he's happy.

If I decide to do both, I would go berserk running around the country and not doing much at all.

So I made a painful decision. I picked up my mobile and told my sis and friends that I won't be joining them at the party until later tonight. I spent the rest of the day mopping around at home, sulking away. I SO wanted to go to the party! But I guess I've pass the point of no return. Dear dear would be expecting me at the airport, I've told my friends that I'm not going to the party that early, so, no ride to Sentosa.

Oh well, no point mopping around anymore. There will always be another party to go, but my darling's feelings are priceless, and I guess Sentosa will not be disappearing anytime soon. I can always go there with my dear next weekend. So now it's time for me to wash up and head to the airport, to meet my choice. And I can't wait to see him!

Welcome to CoCo Land!

Hi ho!

First time trying out blogspot. I was previously from Friendster blog but they were quite restrictive. Besides, this would be a better learning space for me to learn more on learning how to design my own page. My friend Winsome send me some online tutorials on the subject. I'll try to update this page as I go along.

Good Luck to me!
