Beauty in Ignorance

I started my 1st blog with friendster. I’ve never blogged before, so I wrote freely and without any inhibitions. As the time goes by, I moved to a new working environment and began to meet new people. I would never forget the day when a colleague of mine told me that he liked reading my blog. I was still pretty new to the company so this came as a pleasant surprise to me. I asked him which entry did he read and he replied that he had read all of them.

While I was blogging on friendster blog I got to know more bloggers like me, mainly from other countries, but I never imagined that people just next to me may have read my thoughts. I felt like I was suddenly thrown into the spotlight. Feels kindda weird but fun at the same time.

My happiness slowly turned to worry as I realized that more people were reading my blog. In fact there were even rumors that our boss is on friendster. I’ve migrated to blogger.com later as it gives me more flexibility, but I lost my nerve. I’ve became wary of what I post. Wary of people’s reaction and feelings, people I see and interact with everyday.

Hmm... I will still continue to “pen” down my thoughts, but with more care. I’m contemplating of starting another anonymous blog, but we’ll see. I doubt that I’ll have much time managing two blogs. You know me, lazy bugger.
