Do you remember the last time you've been to the MacRitchie Reservoir? I think the last time for me was during my Secondary school days, where we had to run a cross country through the woods. FYI, I hate running.
So that was a REAL long time ago. So it was kindda nice to go back there that afternoon. The zigzag bridge was still there! I remember as a child, dad would bring us to MacRitchie and we'll look down the bridge and see many little tortoise heads popping out of the water. Well, I can't seem to see any tortoise at all, I wonder where did they all go? But it's really nice to revisit my childhood with my own child that afternoon.
Daddy's girl...
Beautiful scenery with 2 beautiful girls. :)
After the visit to the park we headed to the nearby Thomson Shopping Centre for dinner. Once again, I remember as kids we'll go there every other weekend as the popular Yohan Supermarket was there. But now, other than the NTUC Finest supermarket, the place is a real bore.
Anyway, it's a nice break from the usual outing. So it was fun for all of us. :D

Random stuff
Godma came to visit the other day. Jolie kept wanting godma to carry her! Made mom kindda jealous. Haha..
Fooling around at my Mom's place.
We bought a cot to put at Mom's place so that Jolie would have a place to nap. Its great - it's got wheels so we can roll it around the house.
Went to Orchard Road the other weekend... Even Courtesy Lion had to wear a face mask! So cute...
I'm always looking at the opposite block from Jolie's room. So one afternoon I went over to the opposite block and took a look at my home from there.

Jolie's 1st visit to the Museum
Before we went out, I let Cobby's sister try to carry Jolie for the very 1st time.
We start with her sitting down first...
Then we progressed with her standing up! She's SO happy to finally have the opportunity to carry Jolie...
We visited the National Museum in the afternoon. It's kindda boring really...
For Jolie, the highlight was the swaying chandaliers. See how captivated she was!

A Long Weekend
Friday...
Super tired in the morning as Jolie didn't sleep well due to her upset tummy. Cobby took leave today for Jolie's immunization. As usual, she was very brave, hardly cried! But I was quite depressed to find out that she didn't gain much weight - less than a kg! The doctor gave us advise on feeding her cereals and, but I was so tired that I had a hard time remembering all the things he said! When we left the clinic, I felt really upset. As a mother, I felt responsible for her feeding, so I really felt that I had let her down.
Had a emotional meltdown on the way to lunch and continued to cry hysterically in the car even when we have reached. We had to stay in the car park until I felt better. :( I think the exhaustion made me really emotional!
Had lunch at the Hokkaido Fair at Tampines Mall held by Isetan. It was fun.
Saturday...
After the incident yesterday, I was determined to feed my baby well and put some weight on her! Spent the whole morning and afternoon trying to get her to drink her formula milk, but she didn't really like it so she only took a little. That made me even more stressed and depressed.
In the afternoon I couldn't take it anymore and suggested that we get out for some fresh air. I suggested going to the Marina Barrage and it turns out to be a great idea!
The weather there was perfect. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing, people were flying kites, lazing around, it was just such a relaxing atmosphere. Jolie totally enjoyed herself! We took alot of wonderful pictures.
For dinner we went back to Borders Bistro for dinner. The food was fabulous as usual, but the service was terrible that evening due to the dinner crowd. Our forgetful waiter forgot to serve us water, forgot our appetizers (came AFTER our main course) and even forgot to give us the bill! We had to wait forever and ask another waiter to get it for us. Hiaz~ But the food was good, so all was forgiven.
Sunday...
Sis was going back to HK today, so Mom cooked us a nice lunch and we hung around at the Woodlands home before she took off. 4th of July was Sis's birthday, so we gave her a present.
We developed and framed it for her - she was delighted and said it was the best birthday present ever. So glad she liked it!
Jolie fascinated with Auntie Jo's long hair...
We usually drop Jolie with my MIL on Sundays. But she wasn't free that day, so I thought that my off day was ruined. But my Mom offered to watch Jolie that afternoon, so I was really grateful as we ran off to watch Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen! Absolutely one of the BEST SHOWS EVER! Action packed! Very intense! And some parts, super funny! Absolutely MUST WATCH.
The show took longer than I expected, so by the time we came out, it was already about 6.25pm. I wanted to go home immediately as I felt uneasy, being away from baby so late. True enough, Mom called me on the way home. The first thing I hear was someone screaming, followed by Mom's voice saying that my daughter is having a meltdown.
My goodness, baby was screaming her head off, inconsolable, looking for Mummy. The rest of the car ride home was one of the most unbearable ever! Worst, it was raining heavily, so it took longer than usual to get home as everyone was driving more slowly! I really wished I could fly home to my baby! When I stepped into the house I quickly held her in my arms and gave her a big hug! I felt so guilty! Next time I won't go out till so late in the evening!
