Nice Friday ~
It's a pretty nice Friday so far. Went out to Vivo City for a 'farewell lunch', no it's not me leaving, yet. Haha.. Went to Kim Gary with MooMoo, Uj & Some. Char on MC so... too bad for her! Hahaha...
If was pretty fun, Some keep taking photos for her blog and also to send to char and make her jealous. Hee.. I only took some photos during the ride there...

Sunny day...
Flying cow!
At Kim Gary, I ordered this cheese and curry steak with rice. It's... ok lah... I agree with my friend Serene that the place is nothing fantastic.
The funniest part was the beef rice UJ ordered. Its a small ball of plain rice, about the size of my fist, a sunny-side-up egg on top of the rice, a small pile of frozen vegetables (peas, carrots & corn) and a pool of... meat sauce. If you order spaghetti Bolognese you may have more meat than the meat sauce on his plate. It looked as if the chef forgot to put the meat on the dish. When it came we all stared at it and started laughing like crazy. Mind you Uj is a pretty big size dude.

Whao what a big portion!
Uj so poor thing... here take some of my rice...
After lunch some and I even had Ben & Jerry's ice cream! Yum~!
I Love Ice Cream...!
Ice cream would always put a smile on my face. It probably would make me look pretty stupid but I don't care. Talk about Happy Food...
Guess what, later even got donuts for tea break! Thanks Uj! Wah sooo.. happy! Happy Friday!

Hello Kitty Yes / No?
My sis likes all things cute, so it's no surprise that she likes the Sanrio website is one of her favorite ones. (i guess?)
But recently a friend sent me a blog titled www.hellokittyhell.com and now I just love reading it when I'm in the mood for some dark humour.
The blog is tells the blogger's tale of the constant agony of being a super anti-Hello Kitty guy having a Hello Kitty fanatic for a wife.
I've added it into my blogger's list at the side bar. Enjoy!

Bah-vetarian (Part II)
Sigh... my vegetarian plans have gone down the drain... I can't help it, I love meat! I can't escape! Ah forget it, I'll just watch my diet and eat more vegetables. Another one of those failed dieting plans! Haha... maybe I should write up a book of all these dieting ideas women come up with. That should be a laugh..
Life's Disappointments
Im the type of person who hates it when things don't turn out the way I wanted it to be, but hey, that's only human right? Like for example when I'm playing a computer game, if I get less then satisfactory scores I would be tempted to reset the whole bloody game until I'm satisfied. (Usually I do that)
How I wish that life comes with a reset button so that I can go back and do things according to how I like it. So far... nope, no button.
Im getting a bit disheartened, or simply put, sian of planning for the wedding recently. Friends were like "Huh? Why would you feel that?" when I confide my feelings. It's just that all the planning seems to have diluted the magic of it all.
Who am I kidding? The main disappointment would have to be the post-phoning of the honeymoon due to Junhao's work commitments immediately after the wedding. Sometimes I just want to do without the fucking wedding altogether. What's the point? I can't even talk about it anymore cause it's making me so unhappy.
Yesterday at meeting I had to tell them that Im postphoning my leave to another month. The Stupid Fat Insensitive Pig still exclaimed "Har? Why har why har? You want to post phone to October? Why har? I need to take exam in Nov leh" FUCK. YOU. LAH. Sorry if my once-in-a-lifetime-honeymoon-which-is-now-not-happening has inconvenienced you. Besides, November and October is in different months, stupid. Obviously the degree your're taking isn't improving your intelligence.
Sigh... times like this I have to remind myself to calm down and look on the bright side (what IS the bright side?) Just another 1-2 months and we're home free. And I'll be starting a brand new life with my darling. Thinking of that gives me a nice warm feeling in the stomach. But hopefully that would be the way it turns out. Dear told me something yesterday that possibly could flip my world upside down and inside out. I really really hope we don't have to come to that. Nothing's confirm yet. "We'll decide when and if we do reach that cross road" he said.
We'll see.

Lost
Yeah! Lost Season 3 is back!
Watched it on Sunday and it was great! Cobby asked me some simple question about the show and I realise that you can't give the answer without explaining most of the episodes in the last two seasons. Haha... he's like, "Whoa so complicated" Yah.
Anyway, now I have two tv programs to watch on Sunday nights. Ugly Betty and Lost. Sigh... Happy!
Bah-getarian
Went for our workout last night and it was fun! The instructor incorporated the stepping board into the ABT routine so it's more challenging. We had to keep up with the routine while bearing with the burn on our muscles. Cool!
Ate Bak Chor Mee (Soup) for dinner with Cobby, hey it's pretty good! I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food at the food court near my home.
I feel that I'm not eating enough vegetables and my daily diet has been very heavy on the meat, so I'm trying to cut down on my meat intake by going vegetarian for a week.
Very difficult...! I love meat!!!
So... I've decided to tweak the plan abit and make it one no-meat-meal a day. So yesterday's lunch has no meat, dinner a little meat. Today's lunch I ate meat, so tonight no meat for me. Hope it works. Haha... I'll keep you updated if the plan works.

Inspiring Thursday
I planned to go swimming last Thursday after work cuz cobby mentioned that he would be working late. Woke up in the morning but super no mood, so decided that after work I'll just find a nice place to sit and read my Harry Potter while waiting for Cobby to knock off.
Was just walking out of the building when Cobby called and said he's done with work and can meet me in 5mins. I think when two people are very close they can receive each other's brainwave. When I asked him what he would like for dinner, just 3 seconds before he answered I thought of Pioneer Springs. And he said "Pioneer Springs?" Weird right....
Why weird? It's a Chinese restaurant at SAFRA Mount Faber that we really like, famous for its black pepper crabs. But we hardly eat there during weekdays, and it's been months since we've been there for a meal. So it's impossible that I would guess that he wanted to eat there.
Anyway, we went for a fabulous meal with scallops with asparagus, kung pow frogs, black pepper crab and for dessert, my all time favorite, Orh Nee (Yam Paste). Whoa what a grrreeeaaat meal. We love to pamper ourselves with good food but this is still pretty rich for a thursday. After dinner I asked him what inspired him to this meal and he said that he found out that a good friend's mom was just diagnosed with kidney failure recently.
He said that the news reminded him that life is so fragile and short-lived, so he thought that we should do things that we enjoy while we still can. He's right you know, sometimes we allow so many things to stop us from doing things that make us happy that we ended up being miserable most of the time. I say we just do it while we still have the energy to do it.
Eat! Live! Be Happy! Time is Running Out! What are you waiting for??!!!

What's Up With CoCo
Yeah! Its finally Friday… Ive been receiving complaints that Im letting my blog rot with neglect. Well, it’s kindda difficult updating regularly since I’m back to being relatively busy again in office and me not too hot about the PC at home.
The PC at home is fine actually, it’s just that it’s situated in the living room, and I usually enjoy hanging out in the comforts of my bedroom at night when I get home. I really feel like getting a laptop, but it’s kinda expensive.
But actually I have been blogging; in my mind at least. When Im making my way to and fro from work I would make a mental blog of things that I come across, such as weird people I meet, nice things I see or frustrations I felt. But when I get back home, either I would have forgotten about it or I would simply be too freaking lazy. Haha… Maybe I should keep a note book close with me so that I can jolt things down when ever my muse comes visiting.
So what's up with me? Work life has been a roller coaster ride. One moment I can't wait to set my office on fire and walk away with a menacing laughter and having the burning building crumpling down as my background. Now suddenly things seems to be picking up again much to my secret disappointment.
I've been re-reading my Harry Potter series and so far I'm at Order of the Phoenix. Hmm the timing seems to be just nice, a good refresher in time for the movie coming up in around July? (can't remember) Looking forward to the upcoming book, the Deadly Hallows! Yeah!!! \(^o^)/
Wedding preparation wise... The butterflies in my stomach flutters each time I think about it. If you would notice my time line above, D-Day is drawing uncomfortably closer by the day. There seems to be so many nitty gritty things to do that's not done yet!! Winsome tried to console me by telling me that I'm worrying needlessly. I guess she's half right... Arghh... really must get down to finishing some work and stop scaring myself.
Oh, my dearest godson Russell Elliot Chew is 1 years old! *proud* Serene, Benny, Cobby and I went shopping at ViVo City a few weeks ago and we bought something for everyone and mailed the whole lot to Australia.
We bought:
1. An inflatable Choo Choo train
2. A set of super cute skater-boy style clothes for Russell
3. Super sweet and cute baby girl clothes for the coming baby
Well it arrived a few days late (his birthday's on 11 June) but Ting was super surprised and she sms us that they loved their presents... Yeah! Mission accomplished!!!

Crappy Success!
Yes I survived ABT last night! I have a conclusion.
THE INSTRUCTOR IS CRAZY.
Some of the actions are so difficult and painful! But somehow I think she's enjoying it, because she's like "Whoo Hoo! Feel the PAIN! Yeah!"
-_-"
I was on the floor, on all fours, kicking my legs in the air, sweating like a pig. Begging for a miracle that can save me from the class! Earthquake, a crazy psychopath on the loose who only kills fittness instructors, ANYTHING!
At the end of the class my whole body feels so drained of all energy! Man this is definitely more difficult then aerobics.
It's a pretty difficult day today... My body starts to ache all over and my head has been pounding the whole day from a headache. My curiousity got the better of me last night and I stayed up to watch the Japanese anime, The Girl From Hell. Pretty interesting show, but today I bare the consequenses from the lack of sleep.
In case you're wondering, Im a super light sleeper and I NEED at least 8 hours of sleep to keep to keep my sanity. So in conclusion, I am very happy of my success in class last night, I savour the aching muscles as evidence of a good workout, but today I feel super crappy.

Karaoke Here We Come!
The office social committee came up with a Karaoke competition and some of us have decided to take part in it! Hahaha...
Presenting.... Some, Mao & CoCo!
We havn't decide on the choice of song yet. So hard to choose! So we'll each choose a couple of songs and we'll pick one out among the list.
I got a feeling this is gonna be a funny experience...

Ladies Day Out
Last Saturday morning, my sis met up with my parents and me for breakfast at the make-shift market at Outram Park. We went to the shops afterwards to buy the stuff we need for my customary wedding. It was fun, the last time we were there for my sis’s wedding and now it’s my turn!
The shop was not very big, but every space was crammed full of items for traditional wedding use. Some items I can borrow from sis, but most of it I had to buy. In the end we spent S$182.50! Frankly speaking, I think if you buy the items individually at other places, you could get a better deal. But I guess we were paying for the one-stop-shop convenience. Besides, the auntie was very friendly and easy going.
Dad took refuge at the hawker centre while we women were going on a shopping rampage in the shop. And while we weren’t watching, he went to the wet market to buy some fresh shrimps. Duh… We told him earlier not to buy because sis and I wanted to go Sim Lim Square after that! So dad suggested that he go home first since he’s not interested in shopping and even offered to bring our shopping home! Yeah!!
Mom came with Sis and I and we made sure that we were out of dad’s sight before we hopped onto a taxi en route to Sim Lim Square. By the way… Sis bought a brand new Sony Vaio C25G laptop in Blush Pink with free 1GB upgrade and a free matching Sony mouse and colour carrying case at only S$2299.
-_- *green with envy*
Dear offered to buy me one, when he saw me salivating at the Sony showroom the day before. My practical and sensible angel on my left shoulder told me that I didn’t need a laptop, and that I already have one that just needs a little fixing. The devil on my right shoulder kept telling me how beautiful the laptop is and how nice it would be to have my very own Pink Sony Laptop. Besides, I don’t even have to pay for it, Cobby offered to pay right? So the two little guys started fighting above my head and in the end, my little angel won. :)
We reached Sim Lim at around 10:45am; most of the shops were just opening! We bought blank CD-R, DVD-R, disc covers and even a wireless microphone before most shops opened. Sis spent another few hundred dollars on Microsoft and Anti Virus software for her new laptop before we moved on to The Orchard Road. I managed to find a set of beautiful red bed sheets at Aussino for my wedding day. By the time we ate lunch, it’s almost 2pm! The glass noodles at Thai Express are so yummy!
We were heading back home when we passed by some performers at playing all different types of drums and percussions from different ethnic groups. They’re so cool! The audience even gets to get involved in playing the instruments. Fun! J
We got back home, full of shopping bags, and its only 2:45pm! I even got to watch Shrek 3 with Cobby before going back to our home in the evening. Sigh, what an eventful day! That’s why I love to have an early morning on weekends, you get to do so much more!

I can do it! I can do it?
Suppose to go for my ABT classes on the 28 May but I had to go down to the bridal studio to choose the photos for my wedding album. We end up choosing 15pcs extra photos and spending an additional $1k!
*faint*
Most people scoff at the idea of spending so much $$ on photographs, but I guess it's just a matter of different views. My sis thinks they collect dusts. My rationale is, alot of things you spend on, like the wedding dinner, the dress, the flowers. etc. would only last for one day. But the photos are forever. They are the time capsule of your youth!
So now we would be having a pretty thick photo album. yeah...
Talking about fainting, I got to go for my ABT this Monday. Oh man....
I don't know, it was a disaster. I only started for awhile before I started feeling breathless, my head feels light and black spots started appearing. I quickly moved to the back of the class and squat down before my legs gave way. The instructor came and fanned me and gave me a sweet to eat. I was pretty embarrassed and kept telling her that I’m ok but she insisted on looking after me for awhile.
Oops, I wanted to puke! I staggered out of the studio, damn where's the toilet!? I followed the signs and it let me to a blocked entrance. Doh! Staggered back and went the other way and down the stairs with my wobbly legs and weak stomach. Hoping I don't roll down the stairs.

D'oh!
F**k! The toilet's occupied! Take deep breadths... Eww.. the toilet stinks. Now I really wanna puke. Finally got a cubicle and threw up some water into the disgusting bowl. Phew... I was covered in cold sweat.
Don't care, I can do it! I wiped away my sweat and continued with the rest of the class. When the class ended, I could hardly walk. My head was pounding and I felt weak and nausea. Dear came to pick me up and made me eat even though I wanted to go home and sleep. I felt slightly better after that. Thanks dear.
The next day was PAIN.... but the second day, which is today, was WORSE. I couldn't sleep properly last night because my legs hurt so bad, I can't even bend them without feeling the pain. This morning I had to limp my way to the clinic downstairs, and I felt like an old lady with bad legs. We're supposed to go play badminton today, now I couldn’t possibly play. Sigh...
Doctor said I overstrained myself, guess I’m not as strong as I think I am. He did give me 2 days MC, but I don’t think I would need 2 days lah. I’m not that weak right... See how lah.
Doodle
30 May 2007
Stared at the PC for too long I guess. By 5pm I can't work anymore. Tired. So I doodled abit to relax my brain.
That's me in the beginning of the day vs end of the day
Pirates and Curry
Ar me maties.... yo hoho...
Finally the day has come! It was 26 may and my company has organised an outing to watch Pirates of the Carribean!!! YEAH!!!!!
It's kindda strange because I never really see the people in my office outside of the office before. Even my Executive Director came with his daughter. Hmph! He was late and the organisers insist on waiting for him. I guess for such a busy person, this must be a good chance for him to spend time with his family too. I wonder if it's stressful to have such a high achiving dad. he must have pretty high expectations huh...
Anyway, back to the movie. Well... I think they try tooooo hard to out-do the previous episode so it's really complicated, a little draggy in the middle and overall quite messy. But of course there were some really funny scences with Johnny Depp, so it's still ok. Oh by the way the stupid show stopped suddenly in the middle for a minute before continuing the flim! Argh!!!
Spoil mood.
Char said there was a short preview after the ending, didnt tell me! I went off already. Sigh... Ok Ok, it was a pretty good outing. At least it's something new.
We met up with the rest my family at Appollo Banana Leaf restaurant and had a great curry dinner. We always ate chinese food during gatherings so this is again something different. I love spicy food, so, no complains. Yummy....
Visited a family friend's baby at KK hospital before we head home. Interesting day.

Yummy....
that last curry drumstick is mine!
Visited a family friend's baby at KK hospital before we head home. Interesting day.
Back Date!
Wah so long never blog already, since im on MC today might as well do some updates on what's happening!
25 May, Friday
There was an event in the morning so most of the Managers and staff away for the whole morning!
Wah No Government Man....!
We bought Mcdonalds and had a lesuirely breakfast at the staff lounge. UJ even bought 2 Shrek ears for charity! So cute right... Spend the rest of the morning just bumming around and taking photos of myself with the ears. Haha...
When the Managers came back they even bought some delicious snacks! Just nice... Yummy...
It was also Eat-With-Your-Family Day! I could kiss the scholar who thought of this idea. Almost all civil service get to leave slightly early to go home and eat dinner with your family. Too bad the private companies like the one sis works at does not practice it. :P So we had to postphone our dinner to the next day.
Oh well, at least we get to go off early from work! Went for my facial instead and coincidentally met my sis there. After two rounds of torture, (1st by a new girl and 2nd by the senior beautician) I went off to bugis to buy some proper facial wash. My beautician kept saying that I didnt wash my face properly.. The salesperson at Sasa was this well groomed young man with plucked eyebrows. He's great! he seems to have used most all of the products before and he's very knowledgeable and friendly. Good service! In fact, much better then the female service staff. What's happening man?! Not that I'm complaining... the product he recommend is great!
