It's FATE I tell you!

I was reading up on my cute little cactus pup on their website and I found out that my little pup was actually part of the Tokidoki character range!

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, for the Winter 2007, Italian artisit Simone Legno worked with LeSportsac and introduced the Tokidoki bag range to the world. I was never a branded bag fan... but when I saw the bright colourful characters, I really wanted to get my hands on one of those bags!

Unfortunately, those pirated products were just as efficient. And before we know it, every pasar malam, shops and stores from Singapore to Hong Kong are selling the fake Tokidoki LeSportsac bags.

So I was so turned off by all these fake stuff that I decided not to buy it anymore. :( Besides, I didn't want to risk people asking me if I bought my few hundered dollars LeSportsac from a Pasar Malam or not! I would faint!

So I guess it's fate that I got my Cactus Pup! Since I couldn't buy my LeSportsac Tokidoki bag, I could settle with buying the actual character from the range! Haha...
(In fact, my hands are itching to buy more of the Tokidoki characters..?)

A Day Full Of Gifts!

"I bought the dog/cat already :)" Philip sent me a message in the morning. Haha... It's a dog lah... We were talking about the catus pup. Zinc and I saw one on his desk last Friday and I fell in love with it almost immediately. So cute! So, sweet Philip offered to buy for me over the weekend. He had the grey Malandrino, but the one I liked was a pink Timidina.


Timidina comes with a pet monkey! Super cute loh!


After awhile Zinc gave me a sweet surprise by placing a big box of 白色恋人 on my desk! 感动...! Thanks Zinc!!!


Before we know it, it's lunch time! I got a great pizza farewell lunch treat from the people in my department...


And I even got a GREAT gift! A soft fluffy cat cushion with a very cute card! Thank you all...!


Just when I thought the day couldn't get any better, Marl came out and gave me another present! To my puzzled but surprised face she explained, "remember that I owe you something...?" So I only realised what she meant when I unwrapped the present. You see, last month we had this conversation on my chat box...


She remembered! So sweet right?

So what did I put inside my piggy present...?



When I got home I quickly unwrapped my cat cushion and introduced it to his new best friend - The sofa. Now I got a rotting companion! Oh by the way his name is Mr Meow Meow... :)

CoCo: 我懂了! 她一定是用她的空手挤出来的！哈哈哈!

My Bro's Wedding Day (Finally)

Finally the day has come for my bro to get married! Waited for many years already...

Being on the groom side was quite boring actually, there's nothing much to prepare. But it was still very exhausting day as we had to wake up very early and stayed up till very late.

But it was a very memorable day nonetheless! Here are the pictures of the day, I didn't take much picture during the dinner though, so enjoy anyway!

Oh gosh, I didn't know that I was SOooo popular! Damn paparazzi! So here are some of the magazines I found that I was featured in...

This was the HIP HOP magazine that we gave an interview to after we won the best dance performance at our company D&D in 2006. Great interview that one...


After that interview with HIP HOP I had a private interview with FAME magazine. Oh it's Sooo tedious to be famous sometimes, so many interviews! I really should ask my Manager to screen out some of them. Sigh~ The pressure of fame!

Well, I'm not always full of glitter and glamour you know~ You know how celebrities are, we always have some skeletons in our closet... So today I'm gonna be brave for my fans and show you all a glimpse of my shameful past....





Damn MORON magazine!! Yes... I was The Moron Of The Year... But hey, it wasn't easy being the most moronic of them all... You know what they say, even if you're gonna be a Moron, be the Best!

I'm On The Cover Of A Magazine!!!

Should have?

As of today, I've only left with 16 days till my last day of work. Feeling a little regret that I didn't leave at end june instead. Because then I would be able to spend time at home with my family and help out with the preparation of my brother's wedding, which is this coming Saturday. If I wasn't working I could have spend more time with my sis while she's here too.

Sigh...

I've already delegated most of my work to my team mates, and the remaining tasks were either completed or almost done. So... it feels a little wierd at work now. I'm so used to having hundred and one things to do, planning for even more things to do in the coming weeks or months. But now, I just had to take my time and complete some simple work by the end of the week. I hate to idle, if I had to idle, I'd rather do it in the comfort of my home.

Oh, and I still insist that staring at the PC monitor is giving me headaches and making me sick... So you can imagine how hard it is for me to update my blog! (yah hold the applause, you can thank me later) And strangely, yesterday, out of the sudden, my back started aching again. I wasn't carrying any heavy loads or anything, in fact, I was seated at my desk when I suddenly felt the slight tension at the usual spot on my lower back.

Cobby said maybe it was my sitting posture. hmm... probably... I don't want it to happen again! Must take care of myself and be more aware of my posture!

Strange sightings

Saw some strange (perhaps hilarious?) things yesterday, thought I just share them with you all. First of all is this...




Nope, this is not a commercial poster for instant cup noodles. This is actually a photo shot from a WEDDING ALBUM. I don't know who they are, Zinc just came across their website, but I just cannot help myself! THIS IS SO STRANGE AND FUNNY!!!

I called it the "after-sex-oh-Im-hungry-lets-cover-up-a-little-while-we-eat-some-junk-food" look. I mean, why on earth would anybody think of doing a shot like this for a wedding album? Half naked? Instant noodles? Call me old fashioned, but that's just down right strange for me.

Later that night I was at Zinc's place watching TV while she does my nails. I was watching this new channel 8 drama 爱球大战 (Beach.Ball.Babes.) and I found one scene so super funny. One of the characters had this "lucky underwear" so when they show what the lucky underwear looked like, I was laughing so loud! Apparently she printed her face together with her 2 good friends in front of the panty, and at the back there are two big words "FOREVER FRIENDS"

Wahahahaha..... can you imagine if YOUR good friend printed YOUR FACE onto her panty and wears them??? Wah kao... From then on, you'll never ever need to buy TOTO, 4D, or any other forms of gambling anymore cause CONFIRM LOSE ONE...! SUPER SUAY MAN! Haha...

I was hoping I can find a picture of the lucky panty online but wsn't successful. So I jus had to create one myself!



Imagine if one of the face is yours! HAHAHAHAHA..........

The weekend Sis came home

Sis came back on the 3 July, so almost the whole weekend was spent with the family. It's nice, feels like before.

We had a complete family lunch on Saturday at my mom's place, I think that last time was during Chinese New Year. It was great. We chatted so much. Later that night we had steamboat dinner at Weiye's (sis's brother-in-law) place, which was a common gathering between the mahjong kakis and my sister's in-laws side of people.

Well, since Sis left for HK, we never had a gathering. Sad right... Somehow sis is like the glue that connects everybody together. Without her around, it seems wierd for me to hang out with her in-law family right..? So anyways, it was a fun night too.

I tried my hand at mahjong while Cobby sent my parents home 1st. But I quickly let him take over when he came back as the game was too stressful for me to continue.

Why stressful?

Crazy MJ kaki 1: Orh ok then, we'll play small small, 50 cent/1 dollar, limit 8 Tai.

There was a momentarily 3 second pause at the table before we erupted in protest and hysterical laughter loh! HOW ON EARTH is 50 cent/1 dollar, limit 8 Tai SMALL SMALL??? MJ kaki 1 was also laughing so hard as she didn't realise that her definition of SMALL SMALL was so much for us mere mortals.

So after laughing for a while we reduced the bets by a little 50 cent/1 dollar, limit 5 Tai. Hua - 1/2 dollars. Still very high leh, but nevermind lah. For those who are not sure how much that is, this is a breakdown.

1 Tai - $1.00 / $2.00
2 Tai - $2.00 / $4.00
3 Tai - $4.00 / $8.00
4 Tai - $8.00 / $16.00
5 Tai - $16.00 / $32.00

Furthermore, we have a rule of 谁打谁包. Which means who ever throws the winning tile have to pay for the other two. E.g. if I throw a tile and MJ kaki 1 wins 5 Tai, I have to fork out $64.00. So you have to be VERY careful of what you throw. But if you are careful enough, you may not have win many games, but at least you don't have to go home broke.

Anyway, I'm not as good as those buggers, so I quickly left the game when Cobby came back. (sweat~) Oh well, luckily for me, Lord Of The Rings - The Return Of The King was on tv, so I watched the show with the hubbies of the 2 MJ kakis in the living room. Less stressful and more enjoyable! Haha...

We were meeting parents for breakfast the next day, so I asked Cobby to leave early. We were glad we left early really. Besides, we learnt a new route to travel back home so we were snuggled in our warm bed within an hour! Fast right... shiok. Haha...

Met parents, bro & sis at Chinatown for breakfast the next morning. Man... it must have been years since we came to chinatown for breakfast as a family. So it was nice too. After that we went to buy some deco stuff for Bro's wedding. Actually hor, guy side wedding quite boring. When you're at the bride side, you have to buy and prepare SO MANY THINGS. For the guy side, we just bought some 喜喜 to stick on the walls, some red drapes for the door and.... thats all! That's quick.

So after that we went VIVO to jalan jalan, bought some stuff before heading back home with Cobby while the rest went their seperate ways.

I only got to sleep about 6-7 hours last night? So naturally I dozed off on the sofa with soft the afternoon breeze blowing into the living room. Shiok man... So... yah, it was a good weekend.

I watched Cloverfield...

I think the movie aired on the big screen sometime in January, but we didn't catch it. So we rented the DVD the other day.

I must say, I really enjoyed it!

Well, we knew very little about the movie, so we're hoping that it didn't turn out to be some silly monster movie with a typical stupid ending. In fact, Cobby said that if the movie turned out to be a stupid one, we'll break the disc in half... Then I have to remind him that it's a rental, so we can't do that.

Anyways...

Like I said, I really enjoyed it!

You know how big action movies are like right, every story was shown through the eyes of the the hero, which usually is some dude in the military, some cop, some scientist, well, just experts who knew what they were dealing with. Yawn...

So for once here's a movie from the point of view of people like you and I. You know, the screaming people who are always in the back ground, not knowing what or why this is happening.

The ending is not what I expected, but... I like it. It's different. It's shown mostly through a moving camera (think blair witch project) so in some way, I'm glad that I didn't see it on the big screen. Or else, CONFIRM PUKE. Yup, so go check it out the Cloverfield DVD. Not bad.

Less than 100%

I'm just not feeling very good recently. My gastric's not feeling too well, so I have to avoid taking oily, spicy food, which is my favourite! Sad... It's SOOOO difficult to order something light and soupy for a change as by default I always go for the heavy, spicy or fried stuff. So I really thank Zinc for nagging, no I meant persuading me to order the healthier choice.

I've also cut down on the caffine, so on most days people would see me walk around like oscar the grouch. Cutting down on the caffine also makes me pretty lethargic, so by the time I reach home, I'm already half asleep.

I don't know if it's all in my head or not, but I really felt that my condition worsens when I'm in the office. I get a headache just looking at the PC monitor, I get nauseas, and I just wanna close my eyes and lie down. Which explains why I havn't been blogging lately. Just looking at a PC monitor makes me sick...

I really hate being not well. That's why I always believe that health is the most important thing to a person. Hopefully I'll feel better soon.

Oh by the way Sis is coming back either today or tomorrow, so, really looking forward to seeing her again. It;s her birthday this Friday, but I have not found her a present yet. Really don't know what to get for her...
