I can't remember what we were doing during the day, but I did clear up my shoe cabinet and threw out most of my old shoes!
Bye bye shoes~
It's been so long since we've had our favourite steamboat dinner, so on Cobby's birthday, we had dinner there. It was Jolie's 1st time there too! The last time we were there, Jolie was still in my tummy!
After dinner we had dessert at Tom and Jerry's at the shopping centre nearby. As delicious as it was, I couldn't finish it as we had such a filling dinner!
Cobby's 1st birthday as a Dad!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Boxing Day
We left Jolie with Mom on boxing day so that Cobby and I can go out for a walk! When we reached Ngee Ann City it was way pass lunch time. There's several Japanese restaurant at level 4 of Ngee Ann City and we noticed that this Chikuyotei Dining was the only one without a queue. It looks cosy inside and the menu looks really good, so we gave it a try!
Turns out that their specialty was eel but they were promoting Wagyu Beef and their Hokkaido seafood specials that month, so I ordered a Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki while Cobby ordered the King Crab set meal. Both set cost $48.00. SO LUXURIOUS~! But it's Christmas! Let's enjoy!
Cobby's King Crab set, with King Crab rolls, king crab chawanmushi, king crab salad, fried king crab and steamed king crab! There's also a miso soup that tasted GREAT!
Pretty awesome, but what's even more awesome was my WAGYU BEEF Sukiyaki~!
Oh My God that must have been the BESTEST sukiyaki I've ever had. Hands down! Look at the marbling of the meat, it was pure heaven. Each slice was about the size of my face! When I put the whole slice into my mouth, I can't talk. But then again, it was SO GOOD, I really CANNOT talk. Besides, when it comes to Wagyu, the flavour would just keep on coming with every chew. So, don't gobble mindlessly! Chew slowly and enjoy~
I ate every single thing. (except the cutlery) :)
After the super fantastic meal, (burp) we walked around taka. We wanted to buy a new pair of Hush Puppies for Cobby, but we didn't know that the store at Taka has closed. So we headed to another outlet in Suntec. Unfortunately the ones that Cobby liked - no stock! Too bad, we'll just have to walk on. We passed by Royal Sporting House, but didn't think the would have casual shoes, but went in to take a look anyway.
Hey Hey! After searching high and low, we finally found a pair of Rock Port shoes. Not only does it looked good, Cobby said that it was super comfy. Best of all, it's 30% off!
I'm supposed to buy it for Cobby for his birthday, so obviously I was pretty pleased. When the cashier scanned the price tag, its 50% off! The cashier was a little confused, so she asked her supervisor, who just shrugged and said just follow the barcode. SO I GOT HALF PRICE FOR THE SHOES! BARGAIN OR NOT!!??
Original price $140+, after discount... $70+!! SO SHIOK!! Whoo Hoo!
Ahem... So it was getting late, so we went back to the food court at my Mom's place for dinner before fetching Jolie home. What a great day!

Merry Christmas 2009
Gave Cobby his Christmas present... 2 Wii steering wheels with MarioKart game! More fun for us!
After that we started playing with our Wii again. Ever since I set the record of 201 for bowling, Cobby has been playing the game relentlessly. His competitive nature just needed to break my record!!! So after countless games and hours on the Wii, I'm happy to announce that Cobby has broken my record by whole 10 points!!!
He's working on breaking his own record now... -_-
In the late afternoon we went to char's place for the Red Boomz Xmas party. We were the 1st to arrive as Zinc and hubs were at QY's place playing MJ. Jolie was a little black face when we 1st arrived as she's unfamiliar with the place. But after awhile, Jolie was back to her cheerful self again! My little Santa!
Drool Princess...
Reindeer Mama with Santa Baby by the Christmas tree!
We fed Jolie while waiting for the rest to come. When they have arrived we started feasting! Char bought chicken, ham, sausages, pizzas and even a chocolate log cake! YUMZ~! Took a group picture before chopping the log! Can you tell what is the theme for the night?
After a filling meal we relaxed by the TV. I love Brown's Elmo hat!
Jolie don't seems to like the Elmo hat as much as I do!
Char showed us a little video she made. It's so cute! We laughed so hard that tears were in our eyes.
By the time we did the gift exchange Jolie was almost asleep. What did we get?
I got a Sesame street boxer shorts while Cobby got a Simple woman T-Shirt! So coincidence?
The guys having fun with the Spongebob Squarepants dart board I bought. Good buy! :)
It was a fun evening with friends. Thanks Char for the party! Happy Christmas!

Wedding Dinner at Traders Hotel
Attended Cobby's friend's wedding dinner at Traders Hotel the other day. Cobby was delayed by a meeting at work, so we were almost late. Plus there was quite a jam at the carpark as the hotel was sharing the carpark with Tanglin Mall. But thankfully it was a weekday, so we weren't the only ones who were late. Unfortunately that caused the dinner to start quite late!
I wore my old green dress and looked good :), but I forgot to bring a jacket, so I almost freezed to death in the freaking cold ballroom! But still, image very important, so I didn't show that I'm actually freezing! Drank quite alot of wine that night to warm me up! :P
I love their entrance. They had this giant bubble making machine and it made it quite magical! Jolie would have loved all those bubbles! It's a military style wedding, so the "tekan" is expected. When approaching the 1st row, the groom even pretended to make a dash across. Hahaha, funny guy, not so lucky though.
The bride is a SIA girl, so quite pretty and friendly. I like her dress. Sexy and very pretty.
The ballroom was really small, so it was quite cosy. The crowd was quite fun too. The couple wanted a classy 3 "cheers", but the few tables at the back, obviously all the army guests, wouldn't stand for it! At the 3rd cheers, the army guys went "YAAAAAAAAAAAAM SEEEEEEEEEENG!!!" Hahaha... so fun.
I like their wedding favour too! This is the very 1st time I received round poker cards as a wedding favour! Cute right?
As usual, we didn't finish dinner. The service was SO SLOW! We only ate five out of their eight course. But I enjoyed myself as usual, I love weddings!

Birthday Party
Cobby's friend organised a birthday party for his two year old girl, and we were invited to his new condo for the party!
The condo was above the newly extended Jurong Point. I didn't even know that they extended the shopping area and build a condo above! It's huge that place! When we got there, we had a little trouble finding the lift lobby to the condo as it was quite big.
When we got upstairs, it's like a different world altogether. We were transported from a bustling shopping centre to a beach resort! Haha... They have this HUGE pool in the middle and it's so peaceful! Feel like jumping in really. Haha... The home itself was pretty tiny really. Reminded me of my Sis's place in Hong Kong. Spacious living room with tiny bedrooms. The kitchen is the smallest kitchen I've ever seen! Its so small, their fridge, oven and microwave had to be place outside! But because the condo was above the shopping centre, it's quite windy.
Anyway, the party was at the function room, which was pretty small to house all those people and children. Besides, since it's a children's party, they should arrange some games for the kids! Hmm... I seem to be complaining non stop hor... OK lah, last bad comment - the buffet wasn't very good... -_-
But Jolie loved the balloons! Mental note - to order balloons for her birthday party!
Before we left, I spotted a bag that I like, so Cobby bought it for me! He promised to buy me a 2nd present for Xmas! :) Jolie liked it too~!
It's great to see Jolie so happy with the balloon, but it's pretty scary watching her play with it. She would grab it really tight and dig her little fingers into it, sometimes even attempting to bite it!
Don't worry, the balloon didn't burst. It died a "natural death" a few days later. After losing it's ability to float, I ended it's life by bursting it with a knife and discarding it into the garbage bin. :D

过冬 Dinner
Had our Koh family 过冬 dinner one day earlier as Sis and I had to have the dinner with our in-laws on the actual day. Initailly, we only expect Cobby and I to have dinner with my parents. Then bro was free to join us, as well as sis-in-law. Sis just so happened to be in Singapore during the weekend, but she's usually quite busy whenever she's back, so I tried my luck by sending bro-in-law an sms.
Hey hey! Both of them turned up at late afternoon at my Mom's place. I think it has been MONTHS since the whole family has been together, so it was really nice and heart warming for me.
Chit chatting while Jolie naps.
Dad just made new covers for the two arm chairs, so he was super proud. Jolie seems to like the chairs!
Proud Dad enjoying the fruits of his labour.
As usual, Jolie got new gifts from her Aunt Jolene. Her presence has really made the house even more joyous, more 热闹. I think this was the FIRST time ever that my Sis got to spend some real quality time with her little niece. Everytime she's back, she's always busy working or catching up with friends. Her time with Jolie was always minimum as we were always in the company of other friends, or outside. So that day she got to spend the whole afternoon with Jolie alone.
Yummy chicken for dinner!
Our home made tang yuen - with gula melaka filling! No peanut fillings for us!
Dinner was great, after dinner my bro, Cobby and bro-in-law sat around the table to chit chat while rest of us sat and played with Jolie. It was a happy evening for me. :)

Lucky Baby
Parents came back home from their Hong Kong trip the other day, so Jolie and I went to Changi Airport to fetch them home. Even though they were gone for about 3 weeks plus, Jolie spread out her arms for a hug when she saw my Mom. So sweet right? Melted Mom's heart I tell you...
Mom and Dad bought so much toys, hair clips and clothes for her! But my favourite was this Santa hat clip. Cute right!
Most of the baby hair clips sold in Singapore are all too big. The tiny ones they bought from HK are perfect for Jolie as she doesn't have much hair~ But she really loved the toys!
My favourite was this egg laying duck. Really made me laugh so hard! But I think Jolie was a little nervous as the music was quite loud.
I think my Mom and Dad was really happy to see their granddaughter. Glad to have them back!

Xmas Shopping
Char invited us to her Xmas party, so we dropped by Suntec to shop for a present for the gift exchange. Ho Ho HO! There's a Sponge Bob Square Pants exhibition there! So naturally I got a really fun velcro dartboard there. Cobby didn't get anything. Maybe he thought the stuff was a little too childish?
We walked around and took some pictures of the xmas deco.
Exactly last year, we took pictures here too! Just that Jolie was still in my tummy then. How time flies!

Play Pen and Potty
Bought a play pen and potty for Jolie. Man it was heavy! Poor Cobby nearly broke his back carrying it home. :P
Only when I got home did I realise that the potty was actually quite useful!
It's a:
1. Potty (with / without backing)
2. when she's ready you put the seat on the toilet bowl as a child seat
3. the bottom can be a step stool!
So now the challenge would be to get her to use it. -_- She can't really tell us when she needs to go potty of course! But this is actually for her to get accustomed to doing her business on the potty. I have a friend who's toddler was SO used to the diaper, he cannot poop without the diaper. -_-"
When I was pregnant, many people advised me that it wasn't really necessary to buy a play pen. So for the past few months, I had to endure Jolie following me everywhere I go. Whether it's the toilet or cooking in the kitchen. So either I had to carry her and work with only one arm, or leave her playing on the floor.
But now with a play pen, I can leave her inside for awhile. Yes, she may complain and whine, but at least it's safe. On the other hand, we all love the opening on the side. When we leave it open, Jolie would crawl in and out and we would have lots of laughs playing peek-a-boo!
Another stuff in our home. I think we're running out of living space.
