Duck Tours

Cobby and I walked pass the Duck Tours counter at Suntec on Saturday, so I suggested that we bring Jolie to the Duck Tour the next day. We booked a morning tour starting from the Singapore Flyer, but the skies were quite unkind, and it rained and poured the next morning. -_- As the Duck Tour involves going into the river, the staff said that it wasn't safe to conduct the tour in the rain, so they post-phoned our tour an hour later! What to do... just have to wander around, taking photos!

So interesting! There was a bagpipe band competition going on at the Singapore Flyer. They were so serious! Didn't let the rain stop them!

With the rain, there wasn't much places to go, so we just hung out at the cafe inside Popeyes.

Well, it didn't stop raining, but they started the tour anyway. Which made me wonder, we could have just gone for the one an hour ago right... duh. Jolie was fine until they started the engine of the vehicle. It was so loud that Jolie got all nervous. In fact, she started crying and didn't stop until one of the staff on board gave her some Duck Tour stickers.

The land tour was quite boring as it was raining, so the Duck was all covered up. Besides, the engine was so loud that we can hardly hear the tour guide talking. But everybody got excited as the Duck drove into the water!

Once the Duck got into the water, Jolie got more interested. She looked at the water outside and exclaimed, "Water! Swimming!" :) It's fun to be so near all the famous Singapore landmarks.

So the tour brought us all the way to the Merlion, took a U-turn and went back to the Flyer. With the rain flaps down, we couldn't capture a good photo of the Merlion! Seemed so quick, but an hour had passed! A simple tour, quite fun, but if not for the rain, it would be even better.

Some kids sitting in front of us were playing with a ball, looks quite fun, so we bought Jolie one when we got back to the Flyer. It's a pen, a shooting ball and even blows bubbles!

Didn't go exactly as planned, but it was quite fun to do something different once in a while. We felt like tourist in our own country!
